Ivna Lohana, natural de Timon, no Maranhão, já fez história ao descobrir novos asteroides nos últimos anos. Agora, aos 20 anos de idade e estudante de Licenciatura em Biologia, ela busca ir além: quer participar de um treinamento de astronauta nos Estados Unidos e pede ajuda para conseguir realizar esse sonho.
Além dos asteroides, Ivna já havia descoberto cinco galáxias pelo programa “Galaxy Cruise”, desenvolvido pelo Observatório Astronômico Nacional do Japão. O programa transmite imagens do céu profundo por uma câmera que fica no Observatório de Mauna Kea, no Havaí.
O empenho na descoberta de corpos celestes rendeu a Ivna uma premiação na Semana Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia, a aprovação no L’SPACE Academy da NASA e agora a oportunidade de realizar um treinamento como astronauta. Segundo Ivna, esse treinamento proporciona o ensino de técnicas sobre hardware espacial, atividade aquática educacional e uma missão espacial.
No entanto, para conseguir ir ao treinamento, ela precisa de recursos para hospedagem, transporte, alimentação e outras despesas. Ao todo, ela calcula que o custo será em torno de R$ 9 mil. Por isso, criou uma vaquinha online para arrecadar o valor.
“Criei essa vaquinha para conseguir ir ao Treinamento de Astronauta do Space Camp em colaboração com Rocket Center- Center da NASA, localizado em Huntsville-Alabama (Estados Unidos). Fui agraciada com uma bolsa de estudo espacial do programa, para a expedição de 2026”, explica a estudante.
