Na manhã desta segunda-feira (11), os moradores do bairro Parque Araçagy, situado na Região Metropolitana de São Luís, protagonizaram um protesto na Avenida General Arthur Carvalho, trecho do Miritiua, em São José de Ribamar. Eles bloquearam a avenida, interrompendo o tráfego de veículos na área. Os manifestantes alegam que as ruas do bairro estão repletas de buracos, carecendo de iluminação adequada, e estão demandando uma solução urgente para esses problemas crônicos.
Além das questões de infraestrutura, os residentes também estão exigindo a reativação do posto de saúde local, que desempenha um papel fundamental no atendimento médico e na promoção do bem-estar da comunidade. A presença da Polícia Militar foi necessária para tentar estabelecer um diálogo com os manifestantes e garantir a segurança durante o protesto. O congestionamento resultante afetou significativamente o trânsito na região, mas as vias já estão operando normalmente.
A Prefeitura de São José de Ribamar emitiu uma nota em resposta ao protesto, esclarecendo que atualmente está realizando trabalhos na rua projetada do Parque Araçagy, com foco na pavimentação em bloquetes. O município também informou que segue um cronograma de serviços que abrangerá todas as ruas do bairro, com o objetivo de melhorar a infraestrutura e pavimentação. A administração municipal está comprometida em atender às demandas dos moradores e garantir a qualidade de vida da comunidade de Parque Araçagy.
