Na manhã desta quinta-feira (1º), a Polícia Civil do Maranhão cumpriu um mandado de prisão condenatória contra um homem investigado pelo crime de homicídio qualificado ocorrido em São Luís. A captura do autor aconteceu na cidade de Pedreiras, realizada pelos investigadores da 14ª Delegacia Regional.
De acordo com informações apuradas pela Delegacia Regional de Pedreiras, o homem teria cometido o assassinato no dia 16 de novembro de 1997. O crime ocorreu em um bar próximo ao bairro do São Francisco e a vítima foi brutalmente agredida com diversas pauladas. Em decorrência dessa prática criminosa, o indivíduo foi condenado a cumprir uma pena de 18 anos de reclusão, em regime fechado.
Após as formalidades legais, o detido foi encaminhado para uma Unidade Prisional, onde permanecerá à disposição da Justiça. Essa prisão representa um passo importante na resolução de um caso de homicídio que havia ficado sem solução por muitos anos.
