A Polícia Federal instaurou, na última sexta-feira, 30, um inquérito para investigar a disseminação de informações difamatórias e falsas contra Alan da Marissol, candidato do PRD à Prefeitura de Balsas. A ação foi motivada por uma notícia crime eleitoral apresentada pelo candidato em julho de 2021.
O inquérito, conduzido pelo delegado federal Fabio Almeida Teixeira, tem como alvos o diretor de Infraestrutura Urbana da Secretaria Municipal de Infraestrutura, Nelson dos Santos Araújo; a ex-secretária de Cultura e candidata a vereadora pelo Republicanos, Mariângela Pereira Bucar; e Edmilson dos Santos Brito. Os três são suspeitos de propagar fake news, afirmando que Alan da Marissol teria perdido uma de suas lojas devido a dívidas com agiotas.

As acusações foram divulgadas em perfis de redes sociais e grupos de WhatsApp, gerando grande repercussão. De acordo com a portaria assinada pelo delegado Teixeira, o inquérito busca apurar possíveis crimes previstos no artigo 325 do Código Eleitoral (Lei 4.737/1965), além de outras infrações que possam ser descobertas durante a investigação.
O delegado já determinou a oitiva dos envolvidos, que deverão prestar esclarecimentos sobre as acusações. A Polícia Federal segue investigando o caso, que pode ter desdobramentos significativos na corrida eleitoral em Balsas.
